She'll run tripple webber 45 DCOE's so mayhaps still a little down on the best performance we could get out of electronic injection.

Sorry, never saw a dyno. Report on the E9 was plus, but I doubt it. Good luck with your build! Haven't lit mine up yet, but an M90 with s cam lots of port work, euro ecu and oversize throttle body, full 2" exhaust system and the engine builder is figuring conservative HP.

With such a small amount of air on reserve for each cylinder to scavenge from, the lack of volume becomes a problem for higher flowing engines and higher RPM operation.
This additional volume aids in improving power and performance for high flowing M30 builds as well as high RPM operation. It helps to prevent power from rolling over before peak RPM as the engine naturally does from starvation of available air.
By having more air available at all times on reserve, the engine does not create a choke point within the manifold itself. Another benefit of the increased plenum volume has to do with intake pulse "tuning" and reducing the vacuum that is apparent when a restriction is in place.
Runner length and size as well as plenum volume aids in this very dynamic phenomenon. We have left the runner length alone as to prevent the loss of low RPM torque and power. However, without going into pages and pages of details, the greater the area of the plenum the greater amount of air you have on reserve at all times.
With more area, the engine doesn't have to work as hard to suck the air into the cylinders thus reducing vacuum inside the manifold which is a form of reducing restriction. I am going to attempt on turbo charging the m30 engine. Will be fabricating the downpipe already bought the stainless steel pipe kit from ebay.
I have gone cheap on some of the parts which i consider not critical. The car had been taken for a paint job after getting a minor scratch on the road. I have only weekends to work on the car. No major challenges. Had to clean the engine a bit and clock the turbo to face the right direction.
My M30 turbo Build.
The majority of the day was spent interchanging the throttle body on the intake manifold and removing the pan to have it drilled for the turbo oil drain. Decided to weld a bolt on the hole after realizing that the walls were to thing to have them threaded. Another challenge was to get the right weld. Unfortunately i couldn't get anyone with the above.
I resorted to Rod weld it. Decided to test fit the oil drain pipe after the fitting. Thus i have to shop locally for a longer one and if am an unlucky to get one, order from Ebay again.
Ordering from Ebay will set me back several weeks as it takes at least two weeks for the stuff to be delivered. In addition, i dont like the above AN fitting. Did not manage to return the pan today. Thus decided not bolt the pan back without a gasket. Decided to check whether the oil feed would fit. Unlike the oil drain, the feed fits perfectly in it's position.
The fitting to the turbo fits perfectly. Forgot to take the picture but will definitely post them tomorrow. The space is quite limiting. So today managed to pass by the garage and just think through how everything will be set up.
Above was to be bolted into the current oil pressure switch port. The other hole was for the turbo oil feed. Not very perfect but given that it was locally handcrafted, i am pretty happy with my work.
And that is when i changed the whole plan.
