P Throttle Valve Position Control Throttle Stuck Permanently Bank 1 0x Throttle valve, function: jammed briefly The diagnostic function monitors the throttle valve control signal for excessively high figures that would indicate that the throttle valve is sticking or seizing. P Throttle Valve Position Control Throttle Stuck Temporarily Bank 1 0x Throttle valve, function: sluggish, too slow The diagnostic function monitors the difference between specified and actual throttle-valve values.
If this figure remains too high for a specified period, a fault is recognized and the throttle valve is deactivated. P11AA Throttle tight Bank 1 0x Mass air flow sensor, plausibility: Air mass compared with model too high The diagnostic function compares the calculated air mass with the measured air mass.
P Manifold Absolute Pressure Too High 0xE Absolute pressure sensor, intake manifold, plausibility: Intake-manifold pressure too high During the shutdown phase the diagnosis function monitors the DME to determine whether the ambient-air, intake-manifold and boost- pressure sensors are measuring the same pressure.

Nov 15, 14 Germany. Thank you very much.Remember Me? Brigadier General. This car will be the death of me.
Here we go again! Car is off to the shop because this one is beyond me. UPDATE - This has been resolved and was due to a few issues combined, I'll try to include them all here for future reference if anyone else has similar problems.Bmw 328i e90 code p1056 and p105b
The fix is a DME update and mechanical repairs if needed if the power surges caused damage. Thankfully I did not need any mechanical repairs and the guys were kind enough not to charge me diag. The ride home definitely felt smoother but the real test will be cold starts and more seat time. Another part of the fix is listed below regarding a fuel tank vent valve. Funny thing is the BMW dealership saw these codes and replaced the tank ventilation component back when my water pump died, if you look at that thread you can see it listed on the receipt the invoice I posted.
I also installed Burger's listed NGK 1-Step colder spark plugs, as well as new coils, just to be safe.
I did not have any listed missfires but this should ensure a clean and accurate burn from now on. However after some digging I discovered that even if you do not plan to run ethanol you should connect this harness. Symptoms from this being left disconnected include throttle response and stalling. I have not had any further engine malfunctions or codes other than the typical JB4 tuner codes and the valve code for having the muffler flap blocked golf tee mod.
Additionally, there is no further sign of any of the symptoms listed above. TL;DR - everything is fixed after the above repairs and no issues have returned so far.
Hope this helps someone in the future! IG: msteelio Last edited by Matticus91; at AM. Appreciate 1. Originally Posted by Matticus Will update when the shop gets some info for me. Appreciate 0. Major General. I'm guessing you never got a lucky rabbit's foot that I suggested a while ago.

Our certified mobile mechanics can come to your home or office to perform the Check Engine Light diagnostic. The P code is the OBD-II generic code for insufficient fluid pressure within a solenoid operating the automatic transmission. When the P code is indicated, then that means that a hydraulic solenoid in the transmission is not experiencing the proper amount of pressure from the hydraulic fluid.
These solenoids are responsible for moving the transmission into gear and controlling the torque converter. Insufficient fluid pressure means that the solenoids may not be able to operate correctly. The P code has most directly to do with the transmission. Because of this, symptoms that coincide with the P code involve transmission performance. Shifting will become rougher and less regular.
The transmission will likely slip gears as well, and stands a higher chance of overheating. All of this will likely reduce fuel economy noticeably. In some applications, this code must persist for a while before the Check Engine Light will illuminate on the dashboard.

Before doing any significant diagnostic work, the technician will check the transmission fluid levels while also checking the fluid quality. If there is low or dirty fluid in the transmission, it is likely the cause of the P code. After the fluid is checked, a certified technician will use an OBD-II scanner to view the trouble code in real-time to see when it was first indicated. Then the code will be reset before the technician takes the vehicle for a test drive.
If the code appears again during the course of the test drive, then it will confirm that the original code was not the result of an electrical short or issue that occurs intermittently.
Once the code appears again, the wiring and circuitry around the transmission control module and the powertrain control module will be inspected for damage or disconnections. The circuitry will then be tested by a technician with a voltmeter.
Parts like the high pressure pump, electronic pressure control solenoid, and the wiring harness are often replaced unnecessarily when this error code appears. Often, the problem arises due to poor quality or insufficient quality regarding the transmission fluid. Small, intermittent electrical issues can also cause this code to appear, so it is wise to do a full diagnosis of the issue when the P code appears.
The P code has the potential to significantly hinder vehicle performance via the transmission. For these reasons, the P code is serious enough that it should be diagnosed immediately. Codes for the torque converter clutch, shift solenoid, gear ratios, and transmission slippage often accompany the P code. The amount of pressure that is needed within the solenoids controlling the transmission is determined by throttle position, engine speed, and several other metrics that are calculated together to determine the the correct gear and amount of torque converter lockup.

Since then i have the code Pf. When start up the car in the morning the code sometimes is gone, and comes back a couple of hours later. What would be the reason for that? My car has 95k miles. My car has an automatic transmission and M Package No signs of engine malfunction whatsoever, just the annoying "check engine" light.
This code indicates a manifold absolute pressure to throttle valve angle discrepancy. This means that there is some confusion between the mass airflow sensorthe throttle position sensorand the manifold absolute pressure sensor. It is possible that one of these sensors could be failing. It is also possible that there could be an issue with the throttle body itself. I would recommend having a check engine light is on inspection performed to determine the exact cause of this issue.

I would snoop around at hoses, tubes, elbows The loud load? Fan noise? Each trip is 15 miles. I will check all the hoses this weekend. The noise is definitely not fan, fan is not spinning. This sound is smaller than the water pump early warning fan noise and it is consistent. The water pump fan sound is much loader and intermittent. I just changed my water pump and thermostat last year and I should not be that lucky.
Any resolution? I am getting similar code and engine noise with CEL. Changed hot film MAF sensor, cleared code. Been running for several days, no codes show up so far. Disconnected, dirty or fouled spark plugs are common causes for engines that won't start. Spark plugs typically need to be replaced every season or 25 hours of use. You should also check that the spark plug gap is set properly. If your spark plugs look good, problems with your ignition system can also preventing a spark. These can range from a faulty spark plug lead, shorted kill switch or flywheel key damage.
